Neal Patrick Erschens

Neal Patrick Erschens was born on December 10, 1964, the fifth son of Paul and Lois (Veire) Erschens following brothers David, Steven, Alan, and Phillip. He attended school in Lake Benton, MN, graduating in 1983. Following high school, he attended vocational school in Granite Falls MN for Technology in Electronics, graduating in 1987. Neal joined the U.S. Navy in January of 1988 and attended Data Systems School prior to being assigned to the U.S. Saratoga. He was awarded the Navy Achievement Medal for his service in the Gulf War. His service included several overseas deployments as well as teaching a computer and peripheral system called JOTS (Joint Operational Tactical systems.
ET1 (Electronics Technician Petty Officer) Neal P. Erschens SW (Surface Warfare) retired after 20 years of service to his country.
Neal married Elizabeth Susan Donnell August 25, 1991 in Atlantic Beach, Florida. Together they had two children, Vaughn and Mathias. They made their home in Chesapeake, Virginia and established HomeBrew USA, a supply store for beer and winemakers.
(Survivors at the time of death): Neal is survived by his wife, Elizabeth, his son, Vaughn, his mother, Lois, his brothers and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death are his father, Paul, his son Mathias, and one niece, Stacy.
